Why do people call themselves and why do journalists
refer to people by hyphenated identities that list other
geographies/nationalities first before America - i.e.,
'African-American' and 'Hispanic-American' etc.? Personally, I see that
as a sign of limited fealty to the state. In turn, this begs the
question, "Can we trust these people in positions of responsibility
where American interests-at-large are at stake?"
